A HISTÓRIA DE FRANCISCA CARLA,

FRANCISCA CARLA, O FILME

Chega às telas brasileiras o média-metragem FRANCISCA CARLA, do diretor tianguaense Natal Portela. O filme conta a história de Francisca Carla, que morou em Tianguá (minha cidade natal) e morreu na década de 50, vítima de lepra (hanseníase), tendo sido excluída da sociedade e condenada a morar sozinha isolada de tudo e de todos devido ao seu problema de saúde.

Ney Matogrosso, Elke Maravilha e o ator Vinícius de Oliveira, de Central do Brasil, De Assis e Lourdes Feitoza de Guaraciaba do Norte estão entre o elenco do média-metragem cearense gravado em Tianguá, na Serra da Ibiapaba, na divisa do Ceará com o Piauí. Francisca Carla é tida em Tianguá como uma santa, já tendo obrado vários milagres. Tive a honra de visitar seu túmulo e observei o quanto os tianguaenses sentem devoção por ela.

O filme mostra a força de uma história que envolve preconceito, auto-sacrifício, caridade e fé. “Fca. Carla” foi exibido, recentemente, em uma das mostras paralelas do Cine Ceará, sendo sido muito elogiado pela crítica. Eu, em particular, orgulho-me muito, pois sei como deve ter sido difícil executa-lo.
